Another Aronnax Ammonite Pendant

Description

Got more supplies at the antique show a few weekends back, so I was able to make another slightly steampunked ammonite. This guy is wrapped in copper and brass and has two gears tucked into open chambers, plus a teeny tiny screw in another.

This one is just over 2 1/8" by 1 1/4"

I've not managed to find more of the more intricate watch hands that I got years ago. Any idea where to look?

May I preface the statement I am about to give to you as, well love the concept and the marriage of things salvaged and utilizing things old and create something that is beautiful.

The conch like exterior and it reminds me of a old fossil is just really spiffy. The gold and Bronze tones that are just something incredible and with the background you selected really brings out the piece in the foreground. just the way it mechanically, almost swirls into Dante's inferno in the center just moves your eyes really well.

The only thing that I would love to actually seen is more gears going from the bend on the South position part of your piece, maybe increasing in gear size. I think that would add a unique element because I feel overpowered by the swirl heart on the top. You have all this great "meat" the jewelry that speaks to me almost on a personal level. Maybe have it down near the body of the piece. For me, personally it would be stronger with something unique.

Regardless of all this, I still think its beauty and has a strong "Impact". Keep on creating, because your soul is in each piece you make. Later Days man.~ *Wags* - Azu Gabu - Digitail Creations.
