I Forgot Drop by magpie-poet I Forgot Drop by magpie-poet
Full title- "Did I seriously forget to post this drop?!" I was having my ususal battle of photographing feldspars for what felt like forever, but still.

So some favorite spring colors, 14K gold fill, rainbow moonstone (though much more blue than rainbow) and peridot.

I was talking with a photographer/scientist I know and they suggested using a polarizing lens on the camera in conjunction with a polarizing film to capture flash. I haven't tried it myself, or if you would need the film as well as the lens, but it's an idea. If you do get a chance to try, let me know how it works!

Lovely wrap and a beautiful stone!

Oh lord, I've not worked with film in forever!

Hrm, I wonder if they make an affordable digital filter like that.

I know for DSLR type cameras there's definitely polarizing lenses. Polarizing film is a plastic sheet with a polarizing coating- not film you put in your camera. That wasn't very clear in my op was it?

:giggle: Nope! I'm still trying to learn my father's kickass old film camera, so I though that's what you meant!

I don't have a dslr but will still try to do some hunting when funds are better.

Oh my goodness, your work is beautiful! I love this one especially

I've been trying so hard to wire wrap stone pendants and cabochons... for some reason, I haven't been able to successfully wrap one. So I gave up xD
