Trying to pull more color into the square style. I've been rather spoiled by the wide variety of color in the small round gauges.
Got some pretty freeform kyanite cabs at a show a few weeks ago and decided to experiment on sneaking the 28 ga round into square wraps. Used it to try for a sort of beaded effect by wrappping some blue fine ga wire along the indents of the half round wire wraps.
I like the non gem quality kyanite because of the great shimmers and the mix of blues you get in one piece. It's like a cross section of a wave or an artitst' palette for painting a water scene. (Or even like the gem world's version of denim!)
2 1/8" long x a bit over 5/8" wide.
Too subtle, not subtle enough? Ideas?
Even with the dark wire the water color could work for summer, so might go on etsy [link]
or if you're interested, note me. It'll be $45+shipping (I can't decide if my etsy shop has too much blue and brown already.)
