Want sunshine, need sunshine....

(I spent about 20 minutes trying to catch a patch of sunlight to take this in. Sometimes I worry what the people driving by must think of me with my butt in the air trying to get jewelry macros against stones and bricks and flowers, but I'm hoping I don't know any of them...)

I mean, I tend to think of myself as not much of a sun person, but it's been over two weeks since we've had a proper sunny day. And Seattle has apparently had brilliant weather. WTF?

Since I don't know how to do a sun dance, another attempt at sympathetic magic through jewelry.

So, a bracelet to match the wraps: [link]

Sterling silver, rutilated quartz, citrine. Both of the wraps and the bracelet are for sale*

I love it.

Do you use Argentium silver rather than sterling?

Not normally. My bought links are, my made ones are not. Basically the price difference was neglible for the purchased rings, but it came to quite a difference in cost when buying wire. I'm not sure how smooth a transition it'd be. Like do I have to keep the two apart, will liver of sulfur work on argentium, need to research that stuff. I like the whole non tarnish bit a great deal, but don't relish having to keep it apart from sterling and buying everything cold turkey!

I've just ordered some wire to try it. :D

I'll let you know. I'm wondering how easy and well it will cut.

Wuss that I am, I tend to get dead soft of all sorts of wire. As said, I'm mostly wondering if I can mix it with sterling and if it can be forced to oxidize. I should ask Elly that actually.

Hmm. I tried Titanium and I now see what you meant. It's horrible to work with.

Cheapskate that I am, I tried aluminum first, and disaster. I figure it'll go to a doll project some day.

Titanium and niobium I've only used in small bits for earrings and stuff. Didn't seem worth the aggravation. (That's when I swore if I ever found that sterling and niobium dragonscale bracelet again I'd just buy the sucker.)

I'm going to use them very occasionally but for the most part they're a big no no.
