Rose Garden Purse

hopefully as a sub for the summer theme contest.

crazy quilt/ribbon embroidery. it started as a memorial to my sad rose plants, and got a bit overblown let's see, fabrics old and new-mostly adopted, as ever, lined with a pocket in a polished cotton or poly/cotton blend (hey, it was from a latin class toga many years ago...)
so yeah, velvet, velours, panne back, ribbons that are most likely poly (they don't think to tell you these things on the packaging, stupid people), and glass beads, oh, and a lonely dragonfly since my trademark spider just didn't suit.

yes, i know these are winter fabrics.

yes, i know this is *terribly* girly, and yes, i'm a bit ashamed. i'm thinking a blue theme next time to redeem myself
