Got my lapop back, still having some issues, but I'm hoping they'll remain minor.

Closest I've got to ther news is that I'm doing an Earthday Celebration craftshow with :icondivinebird: at [link] So if by any chance you're a New Englander, stop by :)

BTW- anyone know anything about ethiopian opal or how to stabilize it?

Glad you're back on the air with a new computer, and no, I haven't come across that stone, but I know that jessa1155 does a lot with opals, resins and such things (they made me the spider and the oblong opal I used for "Drawing down the Moon" and "Heart of a Scoundrel"). May be worth while dropping the pair a note.

Well, a fixed one at least. And thanks for the tip, I dropped them a note. After drooling over their fire agate mining. I don't know if I'd wuss out before finding anything or go absolutely nuts.

I hope they can help and you can complete your project.

So do I! It was so wild. I got this translucent opal, cleaned off the dirt, wrapped it, by the next day it looked like a moderate white opal shard. Pricier but kind of funny is one with an amber heart that looks awesome clear, but looks like a fried egg after it dehydrates. Okay, a shiny fried egg with green and red flashes, but still...

LOL! Sounds like you have to tame both of them a bit...
