Many thanks for the PC suggestions. I'm probably going to give most of them a shot :)

So next question, anyone know any good sunburn remedies?

I was antiquing the last two days. Thursday was supposed to be warm and cloudy, and it bucketed down instead. (I bought an old men's leather jacket to avoid hypothermia :p ) So of course, I dressed for chill and rain today. And BOOM whipped by the heat and an ass kicking case of sunburn on my arms. (Yes, I'm a wimp, I normally avoid sun.)

So, ideas?

I use aloe vera...an aloe cream or gel on the burn. Nice and soothing. My brother once used mangoes and papaya slices...vitamin E cream is also nice. Anything cool, soothing, and moisturizing usually works for me.

Hope it gets better!

Taking a bath in tea helps the itching/burn feel of sunburn, but it only works when submerged from what I remember of it. Just the plain cheap store brand tea that people make ice-tea from works fine. And then Aloe Vera will sooth the rough burn feeling and help prevent peeling.

Also, I don't know how well it works for sunburn, but when I got burned in the galley at work, one of the cooks through mustard on the burn and it stopped hurting instantly. It worked better than the ointment the Doc put on me later.

Aloe is the way to go. I got a horrific burn in florida 3 weeks ago and only just started to peel. Any thoughts on how to end that?

I second the aloe. Not just once a day, but every time you think about it! And go for an actual aloe-only gel, like Ocean Potion, not some foo foo lotion "With Aleo and Jojoba!". Those don't have nearly enough to do what your skin really needs. ;3 Some might say that green tea will help.

Your weather forecast seems to be just as reliable as ours! ;P We usually apply Piz Buin in such cases, but I think you already got lots of great advice. ;-)

Yogurt is a very good remedy if nothing else is available. I swear by it.

Isn't it amazing that weather forcasters can be wrong 50%of the time and still keep their jobs!! Good luck with the burn, I echo the aloe advice.

Ick! Not really. I think the dammage is already done. I normally do the bad thing and exfoliate to get rid of the skin bits as fast as I can.

I tried tea as a compress, (make it too dark, so drank half and soaked up the rest!)

I haven't heard the mustard, that's kind of neat.
