Many thanks for the PC suggestions. I'm probably going to give most of them a shot :)

So next question, anyone know any good sunburn remedies?

I was antiquing the last two days. Thursday was supposed to be warm and cloudy, and it bucketed down instead. (I bought an old men's leather jacket to avoid hypothermia :p ) So of course, I dressed for chill and rain today. And BOOM whipped by the heat and an ass kicking case of sunburn on my arms. (Yes, I'm a wimp, I normally avoid sun.)

So, ideas?

You would not believe how hard it is to find non frou frou lotions! All the places around here only carry their fluffy little store brands.

Mango and papaya sounds good enough to eat.

I got an aloe gel, it's getting hard to find just plain old aloe stuff anymore.

Thanks :)

It is very hard finding plain aloe. I need some more since I burn very easily.

The mango and papaya was very amusing...my brother is bright tomato red and laying on the couch with mango and papaya slices...and my dad would come by and eat some of the slices. My brother ended up giving up and eating them himself, but it was quite amusing.

No problem. Good luck!

I thought it was ridiculous until she slapped it on my burned arm and it worked!

Apply it and wait for about 10-20 min or until you feel it is no longer cool, but getting warm.

For and extremely sore spots you might try Calendula cream. Absolutely wonderful for cuts and sore skin.

Thanks, already getting better. Though since I'm a klutz and always have cuts I might look into having some onhand for next time.

I keep aloe vera in my garden. If I get burnt, I just take one of their leaves, slice it lengthwise and smear it on my skin. Works miracles!
