Another soldering question
Hey there, another soldering question. Since all I really need to solder at the moment is the tiny links at the back of bought chains, do any of you know if I could use the lowest temperature jewelry solder with one of those little electric soldering tools they use for electronics and pyrography?
Alternate Chain Suggestions
Hey, as you guys know I make mostly pendants. And a lot of galleries require me to supply chains for them. (One actually required me not to so they could sell their own.) So I've bought bulk chain from riogrande and at trade shows. I'm pretty picky about quality so generally they're pretty nice. Now when I was asked to swap out my pieces currently on display for Spring/Summer I brought in about two dozen pendants, rings and earrings. Almost all of my pieces were rejected, not because of anything with my workmanship, but because they didn't like the chains. I was informed that every link had to be soldered. A Ghost in the Machine?
So I'm not a great photographer as you guys are all aware, but question for you. Does anyone else have trouble getting macros of light objects on dark backgrounds? Be it moonstone pendants on black velvet or dark stone, or white tulips against granite or dark bushes every time I try to take picture of something white or very pale it comes out like one of those blurry photos people promote as evidence of ghosts. Ideas?
