I am a human EMP, technology acts extra wonky around me. Example-tumblr froze every time I tried to go to help, or chat, or send anyone a note. I logged out to try to see if that would help, not the site won't acknowledge me. Won't even load to tell me if it thinks my password is wrong, won't load to let me start a new account. Another example. It took me 3 tries to load my poem on here tonight. Kept insisting that my text wasn't text so kept erroring and telling me to submit to another category. A third, I had to call to order clothes because the site wouldn't take the free shipping code on the front page.

Is this incurable? Or is there some way to at least subdue the pulse enough to occassionally get websites to work? At least enough to refind chainmail directions :p It's been so long that I forgot how to do half persian 4-1, and since I had to order rings for a full persian commission I figured I'd get some niobium to play with for myself. (Never tried it with mail before.)

...I used to be like that with wristwatches, whether digital, windy-uppy, or whatever, never stayed working for more than a few days or a coupla weeks at most. It's not really the same sort of thing at all, but heyho. Just ended up not wearing a watch, anyway. Seem to find time lasts a bit longer if I'm not always watching it, so I guess there's benefits :) Trying to remember if I actually ever did anything with tumblr, so can't help you there :/

I'm not good with watches either-but that's a simple explanation. I smash my wrists all the time at work ;) So I don't wear them unless I'm going out.

If you pull the stem out a bit like you do to adjust the time before you put them away sometimes the batteries (in modern watches) last longer.

I feel your pain! I guess I should consider myself lucky that it's not a constant condition for me, but I certainly have days like that where every bit of technology I touch turns to garbage...

My boyfriend's like that. Computers, phones, alarm clocks . . . I've gotten to see so many interesting error codes thanks to him.

Much sympathy, anyhow. Technology really does seem to have a sadistic streak.

(Also, I advise you never to get a robot servant in the future.)

You mean I can't have a dalek to serve me tea?

I suppose you can, but just know that there's a good chance he'll start going about the house chanting "Exterminate!" after a couple of weeks.

*sigh* Guess I'll go make my own tea.

I know your pain. :( The fax machine in my first job hated me to the point where I only sent faxes IF there was someone else in the fax room to help me WHEN she went berzerk.

Oh I think fax machines are that way. Ours is pretty particular and will only take faxes from certain districts!

:wow: Now that's a creepy fax machine! I'd have it looked at by a priest of some sorts!
